Situated at the confluence of the Willamette and
McKenzie Rivers, the Eugene - Springfield
metro area is Oregon's second largest
community; home to 146,000 people in Eugene and
55,000 in Springfield. Long known for its vibrant
and diverse cultural scene, the area also features
rich farm land, a vast array of outdoor recreation
and is just an hour from Oregon's spectacular coast.
While not the common
vacation destination, there is a character and a
charm about these neighboring towns that visitors find unique and refreshing.
Year round outdoor recreation, from skiing to
rafting to ocean dunes and beaches, are all within
an hour's drive. Home to the University
of Oregon, there is also a never-ending supply of
entertainment with numerous venues.
